Special Events

The Parks and Recreation Department offers many department-sponsored events throughout the year. In addition, there are several major events each year that are sponsored by the City of Mount Dora as well as the Mount Dora Area Chamber of Commerce, VisitMountDora, the Mount Dora Center for the Arts, the Mount Dora Lions Club, and other area organizations.

Renninger's Antique Extravaganza Dates

January 15-17, 2016

A juried fine arts festival, for art lovers, casual festival-goers and families, nothing compares to the Mount Dora Arts Festival. In addition to the endless rows of fine art, including oil paintings, watercolors, acrylics, clay, sculpture and photography, the festival features local and regional musical entertainment at a main stage in Donnelly Park. 39th Annual Christmas Tour of Homes

December 3-4, 2016

This is a self driving tour to see the interior of 10 beautifully decorated homes for the holidays on Deer Island, Tavares. 

Sat 2 - 7pm and Sun 11am - 4pm

Tickets are $20 online or $25 at the door. Optional $20.00 for lunch at the Deer Island Clubhouse. (includes entrée, soft drink, dessert , tax and tip)
