For the past several weeks, the City has experienced a shortage of reclaimed water for irrigation. This is due to the failure of the pump on the augmentation well that the City uses to supplement its reclaimed water supply, especially during the dry season.
The City has expedited repair of the pump, but due to supply chain issues, it will take at least 3 weeks for the repair. While the City has explored other opportunities to supplement the reclaimed water supply, the most effective measure is to adhere to the Watering Schedule and Restrictions.
Residents who have reclaimed water have an option to use their potable water to irrigate their lawn and landscapes when reclaimed water is not available. Residents using potable water to irrigate their lawn and landscapes are asked to follow the temporary watering schedule above.
The residents and businesses of Mount Dora, are asked to use reclaimed irrigation water sparingly and share the resource until the augmentation well can be repaired to supplement the supply again.
