Hurricane Preparation

The City of Mount Dora wants our citizens to be safe during a Hurricane and we want to remind everyone that Hurricane Season starts June 1 and lasts until November 30th.  Some of us have been through hurricanes before and some are new to the area.  The City wants to make sure you have what you need to be informed and prepared.

The City has created an informative web page on the Resident's page to help you with your needs:   Hurricane Preparation Page

You can pick up a Hurricane Supply Checklist brochure to take with you when you're shopping:

  • City Hall
  • Public Safety Building
  • W.T. Bland Public Library

You can also download a copy at the clickable page listed above.

Be sure to sign up for Emergency Alerts so you can get the latest information before, during and after a storm hits.

Civic Ready

If you know someone who does not have internet access, the City can add them in.  Please call 352-735-7142 Extension 1102 and leave the name, phone number and address.
