Volunteer Opportunity - Downtown Beautification

The City of Mount Dora has scheduled a volunteer event on Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Park, 230 West 4th Avenue, Mount Dora, FL 32757. Volunteers must fill out an application to participate. Anyone interested in gardening and weeding is welcome to attend. No gardening experience is required; the work will be explained and questions will be answered. Please bring gloves and hat, if desired, and water for hydration. Sun screen is recommended. Make new friends and improve your needlework skills at our weekly gathering at the Simpson Farmhouse, every Tuesday from 9:30am to 3:30pm (bring a bag lunch and drink, if you wish). Beginners are welcome; please bring your own supplies for needlepoint, embroidery, crewel or cross stitch. No registration is required for this free weekly activity; stay as long as you like.
